About Us

Hi! My name is Sam and I'm one of the cofounders of Bourbon Curations. The idea for Bourbon Curations began when my dad and I visited the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® to celebrate his retirement. We visited 19 distilleries in seven days and in his words, it was a "trip of a lifetime." While planning the trip, I quickly realized the challenge of putting together an itinerary. Each distillery is open on different days, offers a variety of tours that may only be available a couple times a week, and then there's traveling between the distilleries! It required multiple Excel spreadsheets and countless hours of planning. While it was absolutely worth it, there had to be a better way.

Bourbon Curations is a family-owned and operated business run by my sister (the other cofounder) and me. Our mission is to help more people enjoy the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. We consolidate all the distilleries and tour options in one place, so you can easily select what you want to experience and when. From there, we use our advanced planning algorithm to put together an itinerary that prioritizes your preferences, minimizes travel time, and helps you experience your trip of a lifetime.
